Eggs, eggs, eggs
Can you guess which of these eggs is the chicken egg?

Trick question! They're BOTH chicken eggs. Check out the range in sizes:

Starting on the left is a medium egg, large egg, extra large egg, and finally a jumbo!

The jumbo egg is the heaviest we've had yet, weighing in at 1/4 pound!

The best part is that the chicken laid the jumbo egg with the clutch of guinea eggs , so it looked even more monstrous compared to their little eggs. I should have got a picture of that, but I was in a rush - sorry!
By the way, the guineas have laid over 30 eggs in that pile, which is about right according to our research. We're hoping one of the chickens that keep laying eggs on that pile (we have to sort out chicken eggs every day) will turn broody and decide to sit on them till they hatch . . . Hmmm, I think I need to do a separate blog on the topic of brooding and egg hatching . . .
