Wedding Day

My mom told me that I needed to get a life because my posts are more and more frequently centered around chickens! Well, okay the chickens make up a big portion of my social network at the moment, but I really do have a life outside of them . . . and here's the proof - I went to a WEDDING! YAY!

If you can't tell, I love weddings! This wedding was for a friend of mine that I used to work with - Shelly. I didn't have the best vantage point in the church, but I tried my best to get a few good shots for you all. Here's the beautiful bride being escorted down the aisle by her father.

Here's her adorable daughters playing the roles of flower girls. Aren't they lovely? They were greeted with suckers by the bridesmaids.

Below is Shelly and her groom, Scott, taking a quiet moment after lighting the unity candle. Once again, I didn't have the best view . . .

But I could see the flower girls just fine!

You wouldn't believe how fast those suckers disappeared! Luckily, they had cool purses to play with - so darn cute!

Melise got fussy right before Shelly and Scott were declared husband and wife, so I had to sneak out to the foyer and missed the last part. I was bummed until I peeked in the door and caught the best picture of the night:

CONGRATS SHELLY AND SCOTT!!!

Wait, before I end this entry, I better say something about rural life or else I won't be keeping to the goals of my blog (I'm weird like that).

An hour before the wedding started I didn't even know the location of the wedding. But I wasn't worried because it's in a small town, so worst case scenario would be me driving from church to church looking for a parking lot full of cars. That would take less than ten minutes! Aren't small towns handy? Luckily, Shelly was smart and had the location listed on her facebook page, so I didn't have to take the church tour.

Congrats again to Shelly and Scott - I wish you many years of happiness!
