Who was dreaming of a white christmas?

When I first started this entry, it was Wednesday and it started "A fog moved in yesterday . . . "  But the internet failed so many times that I couldn't load my pictures, so I had to give up. Then I tried to work on it yesterday and I revised it to "A fog moved in two days ago . . . " But in the bustle of family arriving, I had to set it aside.  Now it reads:

A fog moved in a few days ago and left ice and frost on everything it touched.

I don't mean a little frost either.

It was a beautiful sight.

Check out this barbed wire.

I love it.

Someone neglected to collect her clothes pins . . . or she was really well prepared for a good photo opportunity!

Anyhow, it is now Christmas. I am typng away at this at 6am with a baby asleep on my lap while the computer works hard on the very last gift that I need to finish! Don't freeze now computer! In about an hour, I plan to be making breakfast for twenty people. Six of those people are little children who are dying to know What Santa brought them! Yay!

At the community center where our family is congregating is a large Christmas tree, so Roy and I only put up a little one at home.

It's four feet tall and has only the five ornaments that I deemed child-safe (plus a few cookie cutters), but it does the trick!

Do you see the half opened gift by the tree?

Melise must have been practicing her unwrapping skills when I wasn't paying attention because I found it like this on the floor. I love that she put the bow back on after she tore some of the paper off! I like to think that she realized she wasn't supposed to be unwrapping it and so she tried to make it look right. Good job baby!

Well, I hope you are all surrounded by loved ones, like I will be soon, and having a very merry Christmas!!!

P.S. Most of that frost is gone now and we received a few inches of snow, but it may all be gone now with the wind howling outside!
