Haxtun Community Center
Taking pictures of the quilt show this past weekend I realized that I haven't yet featured our community center. It was recently built, so it is in very good condition and we are all very proud of it.
The Community Center can be rented out for very low fees through theTown Hall. Just remember to schedule in advance because it is apopular venue! I think it may be free to non-profit groups, but checkwith the town about that.

Immediately inside the doors is the large meeting room (see pictures of it here and here). It's a large enough room to fit a few hundred. There is a little dance floor off to one side and the ability to pipe music into the room. The room is often used for large meetings and dinners, so there are tables and chairs available in the storage closet.

There is a fully functional professional kitchen just off the main room.

There is a smaller meeting room, too, shown above.
There is one more room that's a little more industrial-looking, but it is also frequently used for square-dancing classes, voting, summer art classes, etc.
Of course, there are bathrooms available, too. Very nice ones with handicap access and baby changing tables.
Let's not forget the lovely gazebo out front (baby not included!).
