Okay, listen up y'all! This is Melise speaking and I'm going to tell you a little story about how I fed the chickens!

First, I called "Chicky, chicky, chicky!" and they all came to check out what was going on.

Then Mama gave me this weedy stuff called purslane to give them.

Oh yeah, they look interested, don't they?

Do you want this, chicky? Huh? Is this what you want? Huh? HUH?

You know, chicky, you shouldn't trust just any weedy-looking thing that someone hands you. What if this stuff was poisonous?

I better check it for you.

Hey, this stuff ain't bad. I can see why you want it!

Oh, right, I'm supposed t o be feeding it to the birds . . .

You want some, kitty? Well, just a little.

Oops, sorry chicky - all out! I don't know where it all went!

Dude. I don't think these birds like me much. I can't think why.
